This weekend was a very busy one but lots of fun. Saturday we left Alex with Papap and Jammy Yocum for a sleepover while we headed to Pittsburgh to watch a Pirates game with friends. We had done this last summer as well and had a blast so decided to go again this year. I'm thinking we should consider making it a tradition. The trip there was much smoother this time-no construction or traffic detours to take us off roading. We took my dad's Garmin and that got us right to where we needed to be. We had a nice dinner at a place downtown before heading into the stadium. We had great seats-perfect in fact. We had a great view of the field and of the city backdrop and during the 2 rain delays we were in just the right row that when everyone in front of us was clearing their seats, we were able to stay put and not get wet. It was fireworks night at the the ballpark so we got to enjoy those after the game. I don't get into fireworks too much anymore, but these were amazing. There's something about watching a fireworks show from PNC park with the river and city as the backdrop that make them so much more exciting.

Pirates Game/Rob's Birthday
While we were gone, Alex had a busy but fun day. She got to go to her friend Brayden's 1st birthday party in the afternoon and then to Uncle Bob and Aunt Sue's for a cookout in the evening along with a sleepover at Papap and Jammy's. They all had a great time!
Sunday, after sleeping in we spent a lazy Sunday afternoon at home. We had a large zuchinni from the neighbors so Alex helped us make bread with it. She loves to help in the kitchen these days! That evening we celebrated Rob's birthday with dinner at TGIFridays and then back to my parents house for peanut butter pie and presents. We had a really nice time with the family. Alex had a lot of fun helping her Uncle Bob open his presents and blow out the candles. She was so excited to sing to him-she loves to sing Happy Birthday!
